Victims of the Chemical War
Posted by Parsin on May 25, 2008
The chemical weapon was provided by western countries! Saddam was encouraged to start an 8-year war on Iran. US and its allies along with Russia (USSR) supported Saddam to the best of their ability. They provided him with all types of information including precise satellite images, all types of modern weapons, and political support.
Then when he didn’t succeed, they provided him with huge amounts of chemical weapons. Most of chemicals were sent through Germany. He massacred Iranians and his own people using these chemicals, but at that time no one questioned him about these crimes. US allegedly supported Saddam in using these mass destruction weapons.
Later Saddam became a danger for the US itself, causing the first Persian Gulf war and the recent invasion of Iraq by US troops. The end result was casualties and death of millions of people in Iran and Iraq, complete destruction of Iraq’s infrastructure, setting up a historical fight among different sects of Iraqis, and death of thousands of US soldiers.
It is time to ask who and what was the real cause of these wars! Who benefited the most from these three big wars in the last three decades in the Persian Gulf area? And why the US government is seeking another war? The answer lies on the fact that Iran and Iraq and the major providers of the world crude oil. Iran is the third largest in crude oil reserves of the world and is the second in the natural gas reserves of the world!
What US government is looking for is neither democracy nor terrorists, IT IS THE OIL AND ENERGY! US government is itself a cause of terrorism in the world.

My Lord, grant me success in struggling during failure, in having patience in disappointment, in going alone, in Jihad without weapons, in working without pay, in making sacrifice in silence, in having religious belief in the world, in having ideology without popular traditions, in having faith (Iman) without pretensions, non-conformity without immaturity, beauty without physical appearance, loneliness in the crowd, and loving without the beloved knowing about it.

I feel so ashamed to be an American right now.
And I feel angry that I have to give my tax dollars towards this kind of stuff.
I recently just got an installation in my car that makes it so my car can run on pure ethanol, in case there is ever an oil crisis. Which I’m assuming will happen eventually, considering its “important” enough to mass murder million upon millions simply for us Americans to be able to get to the mall to buy the clothes we dont need for the date that night with the guy who doesnt matter.
im just sick of capitalism and oil and war and all of it. I wish we were a socialist country that ran on solar energy and kept to ourselves. thats my idea of a perfect US.

Marissa,
It seems that Capitalism is at the end! They are destroying the whole world to stay in power but history has taught us that more powerful empires and civilization fall when its time comes.
Capitalism is unable to coup with the self created crises.

Parsin, where’s your sympathy for Shi’as being attacked by Sunni fanatics in Muslim countries?
It’s great that you’re bringing light to abuses of Palestinians, but don’t you think as a Shi’a you should also express awareness to how Shi’as are being persecuted.
Did you know that 11 Shi’as have been beheaded in northwestern Pakistan a few days ago by the Taliban? Do you realize how your Shi’a brethen are being persecuted by Sunni militants in Parachinar and Kurram?

I would surely hope you would dedicate a blog entry to the embattled Shi’as of northwestern Pakistan who are experiencing daily brutality by Taliban fanatics, don’t you think?

Danial,
Thank you for your concern. The problem of Taliban is very serious. As you may know Bin Laden and consequently Taliban were made jointly by US and Saudi Arabian Kingdom.
The problem is not however between Sunni and Shia! Sunnis and Shias have lived together for centuries. Although I don’t deny some historical events but in overall there was not such a big problem as we see today in Iraq.
In fact, some terrorists supported by Middle East countries such as KSA and Jordan are using sectorial issues to rise the flames of war against innocent people in the region. They are doing it in Iraq, Pakistan, and in Afghanistan. Recently captured terrorists near the border of Pakistan in Iran have claimed that US has been supporting them!
I believe if foreign countries leave the region, people in the region will bring the peace.

From the last comment, the Taliban was a creation of the Pakistan’s ISI and the KSA, to exert their influence in the country.
Iran supported Ahmed Shah Masoud and Abdul Ali Mazari.
That is definitely not the case for Afghani Hazaras. They have been persecuted since the late 1800’s. Ever wonder why there’s a large presence of Hazaras in Mashad? You can thank the Emir Abdur Rahman Khan for his forced conversions of Hazaras to Sunnism (I’m Sunni FYI).
Being from Pakistan myself, I can tell you that the sectarian discord has existed long ago, since the 50’s between Sunnis and Shi’as. And as for the US claim to support the terrorists, that’s a claim made by Iran, but they are in denial about the presence of al-Qaeda and you can’t deny that there is a large population of disenfranchised Sunnis that would err to the side of al-Qaeda in Iran. Shiraz mosque bombing is proof of that.
They did in Afghanistan in the late 1800’s, and look what happened to the Hazaras then.
The Taliban wanted to wipe out Shi’as from Afghanistan, and they are trying to do so in Pakistan. You must not be silent on that. I feel for my brothers and sisters in Parachinar under Taliban brutality.
Salam

I already explained most of these in your other comment. But as you may have seen through my other posts and comments, I believe Taliban and Bin Laden are criminals and terrorists that abuse religion in their interests. What they are doing has nothing to do with Islam. But western countries like to use and mention them as Muslims. I refer you to my post on Joseph Fritzl

Well, my fellow brothers and sisters,
whatever the problem really may be…and whatever it is…
i just hope and pray to god that it will not affect innocent bystanders and children and women as it does today. If God wills, everything will sort itself out.

Sophie,
Thanks

why would you be ashamed to be an american ever?
We went to iraq and liberated a country that needed the help of the us. We saved thousands of lives at the cost of many soliders, salors and pilots. you may not know what we are fighting for but they sure do. Every day they wake up and they dont want to be there but they volenteered. Chemical warfare is a sad part of any conflict. sure we dont want to use it but you dont know the people you see above may have been insergents.

Bush is leaving the office but many are repeating the lies he made for last 8 years. Ask Iraqis to see what they think of your liberation. Ask Abu-ghraib prisoners!
Just take another look at those pictures. They are civilians, most of the them are Iranians in Iran-Iraq war, who were killed or injured by chemical weapons.

i recently enlisted in the army right after my high school graduation. i was 17 at the time and all trought my training. i am not ashamed to be an amarican. whoever feels shame for this country, its flag, or its constitution should go live somewhere else and see how much they like that. i dont like war but i support my country. everybody out there should too. it doesnt mean you have to agree with it. just do the best you can always. thats my motto and i live by it everyday.

We, the United States didn’t do this, Saddam did this to the Kurds via Russia. If you ashamed to be an American then go live in Iraq and try to do something for them instead of criticizing US! We have it made here in the states what are you guys crying about?! Don’t be sorry just yet, wait until it comes over here thanks to Obama, Clinton, Biden and Pelosi.
